Notice to Canfield Trail Users – Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (August 3, 2018) – A local Army National Guard unit is conducting a land navigation skills exercise on the Canfield Mountain Trail system on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
You may encounter National Guard members in camouflage uniforms while using the trail system Saturday evening. Participants in the navigation skills event are on foot and will be carrying a hydration source and navigational aids to locate points on the ground.
These activities will not affect recreational use of the trails. Please contact SFC McGuire at 208-272-7540 with any questions about this event.
