Plant-A-Tree Program

The Plant-A-Tree Program provides a way for individuals and groups to have trees planted on a national forest to memorialize loved ones or commemorate births, weddings, anniversaries, or other special events while helping to improve the environment.

For a minimum donation of $10.00, donors receive acknowledgement of their gift and a certificate, suitable for framing, sent to the person or family specified by the donor. This certificate states the name of the person being honored and by whom the contribution is made. To make a donation please use the Plant-A-Tree Program website and select specify a National Forest, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny National Forest.

The minimum donation provides for the purchase and planting of 10 to 15 seedlings suitable for the planting site. The trees will not be individually recognized, but will be part of the forest ecosystem managed to sustain our natural resources.

Contributions are deposited into a special fund to be used only to plant trees under this program. By making a donation directly to the Allegheny National Forest, you can be assured the trees will be planted on this forest.

All contributions to the Plant-A-Tree Program qualify as charitable deductions under section 170(c) (1) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
