Bradford, PA, June 4, 2024— The US Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is accepting public comments on a proposal to make improvements at the Westline Ballfield site in the Bradford Ranger District of Allegheny National Forest. The proposed project is located off Westline Road in Lafayette Township, McKean County, Pennsylvania. Proposed improvements include establishing a loop road for passenger vehicles around the site, developing two parking areas, constructing a trail to Kinzua Creek that complies with accessibility guidelines, installing a vault toilet, and incorporating native plants in the landscaping. The proposal will also designate campsites in the vicinity of the Westline Ballfield.

The proposal comes after resource damage concerns were identified and aims to provide a designated and stabilized driving surface, improve drainage issues, and enhance the visitor experience.
