Process Raw CFF Files: Raw CFF Files were converted to ARC Coverages, using local macro CFF2ARC.aml. This macro created a line coverage for each quad with items in the .AAT such as CFF Codes, quad, and source. 106 quads were obtained directly from GSC. Additional quads were obtained from Adjacent forests. Please reference the /fsfiles/ref/library/gis/quad_24k/cff fileset for these CFF files. The following CFF Codes were used to extract out trail features for the orignal forest trail cover. Many of the arcs from the original cover have NOT been carried over to this travel_route cover. A major effort to update trails and create routes identified in INFRA occured between May and September of 2004.

Error check on individual quads: All quads were plotted and error checked for missing or inaccurate data.
Update of individual quads: Using CFF update guides from GSC, the attributes in the .AAT were structured to match "Draft Guidelines for Digital Base Map Updates" (October 1995).
CFF Code CFF(1-10) in the .AAT CORRECTION_TYPE Type of Correction. A=addition;C=code change;D=deletion SOURCE_CODE Value indicates source, and level of accuracy SOURCE_CODE_MEMO Comments
Beginning March 2001, trail arcs will be added to the cover and created as trail routes in the Trail route subclass. Extracted from /lgis/clearwater/tr/cwf_tr where confirmed by Forest Recreation staff.
As of March 2005 the addition of trails on all districts is complete. These trails will continue to be reviewed and updated over time. Please review the current cover for the most recent feature class information.
