Abstract:

This dataset describes Congressionally and Administratively designated Wilderness Areas. Entire wilderness areas are shown for the Gospel Hump and Selway-Bitterroot wilderness but not for the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. As data for the remaining portion of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness are acquired they will be added to the existing wilderness boundary.

Purpose:

This dataset is designed to allow the display of and spatial analysis of wilderness areas.
