Prospectus for Campground Concession on the Mt.Hough RD

A prospectus for operating campground concession on the Mt. Hough RD is available for review. Deadline for submission has been extended to August 31, 2009. The prospectus includes 17 recreation sites at Bucks Lake Recreation Area, Antelope Lake Recreation Area, and Feather River Canyon Campgrounds. The ten year permit to provide operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities will be issued for early 2010 as the current expires September 30, 2009. Prospective applicants must bid on all three areas included in the prospectus. More detailed information on this business opportunity and application requirements may be found in the prospectus.

Fire restrictions will go into effect on July 24 on the Plumas National Forest (public land). Until the weather pattern changes to a cooling trend, usually later in the fall, these restrictions will remain in place.
