Sand Flat Campground

Sand Flat Campground is located six miles from the junction of Clark Fork Road and Highway 108. It is about 25 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station. There are 53 drive-in sites available and 15 walk-in sites, a total of 68. Each site has a table and a fire ring. Restrooms are vault toilets (some newer units are fully accessible) Four well supply potable water by hand pumps. There is a fee for parking extra cars.
An RV dump station is located on the entrance road to Clark Fork Campground. Campers staying at Clark Fork or Sand Flat Campgrounds may use the dump station for a $6 dump fee.

Permit Info: | If you wish to use a stove, grill, or have a campfire it is recommended, but not required, that you get a campfire permit. This FREE Permit can be obtained at preventwildfiresca.org or at any ranger station. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it. |

Restrictions: | Camp in designated sites only. A single campsite has a six person limit. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days. Passes: | The Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes are honored and provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees in the campground. Pass number must be written on fee envelope or Pass must be shown to Host. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping. |
