Horsfall Campground


Area Status: Open

Horsfall Campground, tucked in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, provides access to miles and miles of dunes, beckoning off-road vehicle riding enthusiasts. Perks include flush toilets, drinking water and token operated showers. An ATV loading ramp is also available. Picnic tables and fire rings are at each campsite.

The number one activity is off-roading on the dunes. OHV trails and open riding zones are northwest of the campground. Sand trails are accessible from the campground. See details at Horsfall OHV Staging Area.

Current Conditions: 5/7/24: High water levels are covering Horsfall Road and water is expected to remain for several weeks. All campsites in ODNRA now require a digital reservation and payment.  
Reservations: Reserve online at www.recreation.gov or phone 877.444.6777. All Horsfall campsites require a digital reservation and payment. Note that the Siuslaw National Forest does not have any control over the Recreation.gov phone line. Wait times are expected to be longer-than-usual.
Fees: $25 per night for single unit, two vehicle limit, which does not include towed vehicles.
Permit Info: State of Oregon OHV permit required for riding.

Directions:

From North Bend, OR, proceed north 1.5 miles to Transpacific Lane. Turn left and proceed 1 mile, turning right across the railroad tracks. Travel 100 feet turning right on Horsfall Beach Road. Proceed half-mile and turn right into the Horsfall Campground and Day Use Area.
