Big Sage Reservoir and campground are surrounded by juniper woodland and sagebrush. The reservoir is several thousand acres and the campground lies on the shore near the boat ramp.

Directions:

From Alturas travel west on Hwy 299, 3 miles. Turn north on Crowder Flat Rd/County Road 73, and travel 6 miles. Turn right on County Road 180 and go 3.5 miles to Big Sage Dam and the campground.

Campground Camping

This campground lies on the shore of Big Sage Reservoir and is located near the boat ramp. Surrounded by the juniper woodland and sagebrush this campground has 11 tent and RV sites and can accommodate rigs up to 22 feet long.

Lake and Pond Fishing

Fishing at Big Sage Reservoir is just a short walk from the campground. The reservoir is stocked by the California Dept of Fish and Wildlife. All California fishing laws apply and all anglers over the age of 16 must have a valid fishing license in possession.

Special Designations	There is no fish cleaning station. Please clean fish away from the lake, water faucets and restrooms and dispose of all fish guts in trash containers.
