Seven Lakes Trailhead

Fee trailhead at popular Big Creek Lakes Recreation Area. One mile interpretive trail leads to upper Big Creek Lake. Trails beyond lead to Big Creek Falls and Seven Lakes area of Mount Zirkel Wilderness. Please refer to the Wilderness regulations. Trailhead includes limited pull through parking for horse trailers, a small horse corral, and outhouse.

General Information

Directions: Directions from Walden: Head north on Highway 125 for 9 miles to Cowdrey. Turn left at Cowdrey onto County Road 6W for 18 miles to Pearl. Take Forest Road 600 for 6 miles to the Big Creek Lakes Recreation Area. The Seven Lakes Trailhead is located by taking the right hand fork at the intersection at the bridge. Follow this road past the campground host site driving approximately 1/4 mile to the trailhead. Look for universal "hiking" signs to locate trailhead parking.
