Area Status: Open

Located at the west end of the Village of Cloudcroft, the Trestle Recreation Area offers a day-use picnicking site with access to popular area trails. Water, restroom facilities, interpretive information, access to trails, picnic sites. This is a day-use facility only.

Description:	Interpretive signs like this one are located throughout the site and trail complex thanks to the NM Rails-to-Trails group. These signs take you back to a time when steam trains traversed their way up the mountain side.

General Information

Directions: The Trestle Recreation Area is located just west side of Cloudcroft off of US82 a few 100 feet just west of the NM130/US82 intersection. Turn onto Forest Road 24M.
