Twinwood Lake Campground


Area Status: Open

Bigelow Creek feeds into Twinwood Lake next to the campground and creates a good current in the lake. Ice fishing is a very popular on this lake. This beautiful area is forested with white pine and provides ample opportunity for wildlife viewing. Swans frequent the lake, and eagles have historically nested in the area. Waterfowl are plentiful and this is a popular area for hunting and fishing in season.

Directions:

From White Cloud -

  • Travel south on M-37 for 5 miles.
  • Turn left and travel east on 40th St. for .5 miles.
  • Turn right and travel south on Basswood Rd. for .5 miles.
  • Turn left and travel east on FR 5448 for .3 miles.
  • The road terminates at the site.
