Overview of Site: 

Elevation: 6300-Foot Elevation

Amenities: 2.5-mile hike one-way from Burkhart Trailhead. 5 hike-in group campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings/klamath stoves, vault toilet, no trash receptacles, no piped water available. Seasonal stream water (treat before using). However, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, and extinguishing campfires. Pack In-Pack Out. Bear-proof boxes provided for storage of food and scented items. 

Hiking: Access to the Pacific Crest Trail, Silver Moccasin Trail National Recreation Trail.  

Waterplay: Access to Cooper Canyon Falls.

Fees: Camping - Adventure Pass/America the Beautiful Pass Required for vehicles parked at Burkhart Trailhead. 

          Day use - Adventure Pass/America the Beautiful Pass Required.

Directions:

Location: From Interstate 210 in La Canada, exit onto the  Angeles Crest Highway (HWY 2) and drive northeast for approximately 33 miles to Cloudburst Summit. Park in the clearing to the left (north) of the highway and follow either the fire road (1.75 miles) or the Pacific Crest Trail (2.5 miles) down to Cooper Canyon Trail Camp.
