Picnicking

Picnicking is a relaxing activity on the Hoosier National Forest and several areas are available either for family or group picnicking.

Picnicking - Single

There are several areas within the Forest which offer a pleasant place to picnic with your family or friends. These opportunities are sites which offer picnic tables and fire rings and other picnicking facilities.

Picnicking - Group

The Forest offers several shelterhouses located at our recreation areas and campgrounds. Most are conducive to group picnicking. Check out each of the links below to learn more about these opportunities. Some of these sites may be reserved (from Memorial Day through Labor Day) ahead of time though a fee is charged.
