Winter Sports
The Shasta-Trinity, Klamath and Modoc National Forests maintains a Tri-Forest Snowmobile Trails system! The Tri-Forest snowmobile trail system links four groomed snowmobile parks to each other within a day's travel to each other. It spans 260 miles of signed trails, offering excellent snow conditions and amazing views. The access roads to the parks and paved parking areas are plowed.
Access the trails from these OSV Staging Areas:
Shasta-Trinity NF
- Pilgrim Creek Snowmobile Park, located northeast of McCloud, offers trail access, a warming hut, restrooms, and a plowed parking area.
Klamath NF
- Deer Mountain/Chuck Best Snowmobile Park offers access to groomed snowmobile trails surrounding Mt. Shasta. Vault toilets and winter RV parking are available.
- Four Corners Snowmobile Park features ample parking, a warming hut, vault toilets, and a loading ramp.
Modoc NF
- Doorknob Snowmobile Park is open to all snow enthusiasts. A warming shelter and vault toilets are provided.
