NATIONAL FOREST PRIMARY BASE MAPS
The US Forest Service’s primary base mapping program called FSTopo provides detailed topographic maps covering US Forest Service Lands. These maps are created at 1:24:000 scale for the lower 48 and Puerto Rico and 1:63,360 for Alaska. Maps are available for download from the FSGeodata Clearing house (http://data.fs.usda.gov/geodata/vector/index.php) and are available in 3 different formats: geo-enabled PDF, GeoTIFF and Vector data. Map updates are continually ongoing from contributed authoritative data by FS field unit staff .
