Recreation Passes & Permits
A valid recreation pass is required to use many developed trailheads, picnic areas, boat launches and interpretive sites on national forests throughout Oregon and Washington. Signs are posted at recreation sites where day use fees may be charged.
Note: The Washington Discover Pass is required at state operated sites (administered by Washington State Parks, Department of Natural Resources lands and Department of Fish and Wildlife) but are not valid on national forest lands.

Honored at all Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required. Purchase ahead of time for when you need them and receive in the mail.

Interagency Passes

4th Grade Interagency Pass (Free)
Available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) who present a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper pass.

Interagency Annual Pass ($80)
For anyone to purchase, valid for 12 months.

Interagency Senior Annual & Lifetime Pass ($20/$80)
For those age 62 or older. Lifetime Pass: valid for the lifetime of passholder. Annual Pass: valid for one year. *Annual Pass may be applied towards purchase of a Lifetime Pass.

For those with a permanent disability for the lifetime of the passholder.

Interagency Military Annual & Lifetime Pass (Free)
Annual Pass: Available to Current US Military and Dependents. Valid for 12 months.
Lifetime Pass: Available to Gold Star Families and Veterans. Valid for pass holder's lifetime.
